"The Helper"

About the Play

At the height of World War II, with food scarce and the coldest of winters looming, the residents of Riverside, Alabama, turn to 23-year-old Annie and her Aunt Rosie for provisions. Their family gardens have long been a source of nourishment and healing for the community. Annie’s desire to help her people is further fueled by her visits with patients at the local infirmary in which she volunteers. When she bonds with a recently admitted soldier, Annie becomes more determined than ever. Despite Aunt Rosie’s warnings, she dares to help him with the resources of her garden, careful to evade the watchful eye of her cold and callous supervisor, Nurse Mae.

About the Playwright

Angie Marbury Reevers is an author, playwright, screenwriter and communications expert. Her novel, “The Broken Inheritance,” is currently available on Amazon. She has written several screenplays, two of which have placed in a United States film festival. She also has more than 25 years of experience writing and managing communications for global corporations. While she has written and produced numerous plays in civic settings, “The Helper” is her live theater debut to the public.

About Wellspring of Faith Productions

Based in Atlanta, GA, Wellspring of Faith Productions was created by married couple Benjamin and Angie Reevers, IV, to spread the love of Jesus Christ through live and multimedia presentations.

Showtimes

“The Helper” will run on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in three shows:

• 12:00 p.m.
• 3:00 p.m.
• 7:00 p.m.

Ticket Purchases

• Tickets prices are $30 for all shows.
• Your confirmation will serve as your ticket. Please present it to the attendant upon arrival.
• All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable (unless show is cancelled by organizers).

Seating

• General seating available for all three shows. No reserved seating.
• Seating will be opened approximately 30 minutes prior to showtime. However, you may get in line as early as you like.
• Once the show has started, you must wait until intermission to be seated, so as not to interrupt the production for the actors and your fellow patrons. No exceptions.
• You are encouraged to arrive early, as patrons will be seated according to your place in line.

Venue Rules

• Concessions with prepackaged beverages and snacks will be available at the venue. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
• Restrooms are available inside the venue. We ask that you utilize these facilities before or after the show or during intermission.
